Besakih Mother Temple Tour
We start the tour at the Batik Ikat Centre of Tohpati, where we can see the process of ikat weaving. We then go to Klungkung (Semarapura), to see the ancient court of justice. This open-sided floating pavilion is a superb example of Klungkung architecture and its ceilings are nicely painted and decorated. After that, we follow the coastline of Bali to the Goa Lawah Temple, or the bat cave temple. Thousands of bats can be seen hanging upside-down in the temple.
Via the rice terraces of Bukit Jambul we drive to Pura Besakih, the mother temple of Bali. This temple complex on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung, Bali's highest mountain, is the most important temple complex for Balinese Hinduism, where many worshipping people worshipping can be seen.
